Keeper of the Meditation Self-Healing Center
Roy Sexton
Five decades of spiritual development, practicing spiritualism and healings, Roy Sexton has traveled the world studying Meditation, Metaphysics and World Religion all the way back to Egyptian culture. Roy started teaching meditation over 20 years ago and has since taught advanced Meditation classes at Mott Community college as well as teaching students at the Imlay City Alternative Education. He also has been volunteering at the Lapeer County Jail teaching Anger Management classes to the inmates for over 20 years. As a Reverend, Certified Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master and Doctor of Divinity, his greatest pleasure is helping others to see they are spiritual beings having a human experience; and how to expand their consciousness. Roy Sexton is a disabled American Veteran and actually sought out Meditation to find peace within himself after returning from Vietnam. "Going through the darkness was a blessing in disguise. Every cloud has a silver lining. It made me chase the light." said Roy. Roy bought the old Rec Center on Law Street, previously known as the First Baptist Church. Originally built in 1873, Roy has been the caretaker, renovating the space, since 2002. Roy started having dreams about this building. He says, "through dreams I was shown what to do with certain aspects of the building." The Meditation Self-Healing Center opened its doors for Teachers and Students alike. The space is dedicated to the power of prayer and positive intentions and to honor all world religions/people. And Yes, the pool is still here. Having many profound teachers who are well known across the world, participating in long lasting fasts and vision quests, he's had remarkable first-hand experiences within Native American culture as well as close-up experiences in Southern America too. Having different shamanic guides/mentors during several trips to Peru, as well as in Mexico, Bolivia, Easter Island, Egypt, Austria and more. Roy’s love for Spirituality and the mysteries of life have guided him down this divine path in which he says he is very grateful for. "It's been a wonderful journey."
Roy offers both group settings as well as 1-on-1 private sessions at the Center. Anyone interested in living in the NOW, being more proactive in life than reactive and is interested in improving creativity and productivity is welcome to schedule an appointment or contact us for more information.
Barb Pachla
My name is Barbara Pachla and I was raised with a loving and very extended family in Clifford and Detroit Michigan. I grew up knowing angels protected me long before angels were talked about as they are now. The classic picture of the two small children crossing the rickety bridge with the big beautiful blond haired angel was in my life from day one. I just turned 70 so it’s been around awhile. I spent most of my adult life living in the Colorado Rocky Mountains but returned to Michigan to take care of my parents in 2017.
My spiritual journey into the healing arts of Reiki and other Vibrational Medicine began in 1997 when I went through a “dark night of the soul” which of course was my beginning into self empowerment and one of the best things to happen to me. I started to see my Reiki Master and Bringer of the Light Judi Theis. The sessions we did helped me to stay balanced, connected to my heart and able to make wise decisions. The next 4 years I completed my 3 levels of Reiki and spent 2 years as an apprentice becoming a Reiki Master Teacher in 2001. From 2001 through 2017 my spiritual partner Corinne Cram and I did amazing things to bring light to our world. Every Monday evening we hosted a spiritual discussion and pot luck dinner open to our Gunnison Valley community. We discussed books, watched the newest videos exploring spiritual and scientific philosophies, listened to the most empowering teachers from Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, Abraham, Louise Hay, The Dali Lama and countless others. We did vision boards, journaling, chanting, special seasonal celebrations just to mention a few. During this period I taught Reiki classes, became a Reconnection Level III practitioner and completed the first level of Matrix Energetics. Corinne and I also taught empowerment classes at our local university. We also founded the Well-being Connection to promote all the healing modalities available in our county and we were able to assist our local hospital in promoting alternative healing modalities to their patients. I am also an ordained minister and preformed weddings in Colorado. I am now approved in Michigan and will begin scheduling ceremonies here in Lapeer and the Thumb in general.
One of my greatest accomplishments along with our beloved Corinne was to write our first book “Attraction Based Consciousness…A Guide To Mastering The Energies of Love”. We also write “A Daily Vibe” which goes out to a few hundred people each morning. The Daily Vibe is emailed each day and is centered around a monthly topic. It contains an uplifting picture, thought for the day, quotes and specific suggestions and processes for living a joyful and empowered life. The Daily is free and you can subscribe at attractionbasedconsciousness.com and click the picture with the crocuses.
I currently teach Vibrational Medicine classes with Reiki class certifications . Spiritual Discussion Groups are scheduled periodically. I am based out of the “ Meditation Self Healing Center of Lapeer”. You can also watch me on our Facebook page.

Beyond the Bridge
Five years ago, my life took such an incredible turn which to this day still excites and amazes me. Five years ago, I was living my normal day-to-day life as a working mother and wife. Out of the blue, I started seeing spirits in my room at night. It was terrifying to say the least as I could not grasp what was happening or why it was happening. I finally had to seek out answers from a medium. I decided to go to a medium and not say anything to see if he or she could pick up on something. She did immediately. She told me your guide is saying you’ve had this since childhood, they flicked the switch off back then and have now switched it back on. I was told that day over and over your guide is saying “DO NOT WASTE THIS GIFT”. She told me my guide wants me to start meditating daily. I left there that day with my head spinning as I was trying to wrap my brain around it all. From that day on, I committed myself to this new-found gift and started a daily meditation practice that turned it all around for me. Through that mediation practice, I am now able to see and hear spirit as well as guides. I am truly honored and humbled to be the Bridge to connect you with your crossed loved ones.
